The JAI is TÜV-certified elevator insulation used to acoustically decouple elevators. It reduces the structure-borne noise by up to 26 dB at the transition between the elevator guide rail and the shaft wall. The system consists of a sandwich construction with elastomer panels, a supporting structure made of steel inserts and two hook-head t-bolts, which normally attach the insulation to a JTA W anchor channel. The elevator builder's attachment part then connects the elevator guide rail to the JAI element. To ensure maximum flexibility during installation, JAI elevator insulation is available in several versions for various types of elevators.
