Shear Dowel HED

HED-S and HED-P shear dowels transfer small to medium shear forces across structural joints, e.g. in expansion joints between concrete slabs, in ceilings and walls, in joints between columns and walls or beams and ceilings. They are also used for structural connections, e.g. between balcony slabs. They allow the components to be displaced in the longitudinal axis of the bars by up to a joint width of 40 mm and transmit vertical and horizontal loads (e.g. wind loads). In combination with the matching fire protection sleeves, the dowels achieve a fire resistance duration of 90 minutes (R90) in accordance with DIN EN 13501-2. The system is therefore fire resistant in case of fire.
