Videos from YouTube are embedded on our website. This is a service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“YouTube”), a subsidiary of Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.
To protect your data, we use a so-called two-click solution. YouTube videos are not loaded automatically when you visit our website. Instead, you will see only a preview image with a notice. A connection to YouTube's servers and video playback will only be initiated if you actively click on the preview image and thereby explicitly consent. Alternatively, you may give your consent at this point.
YouTube content is also embedded using the "enhanced privacy mode." This is provided by YouTube and ensures that no cookies are initially stored on your device by YouTube. However, when accessing the relevant pages, your IP address and other data are transmitted, including information about which of our web pages you have visited. This information cannot be directly linked to you unless you are logged into YouTube or another Google service at the time of access or are permanently logged in. Once you start playback of an embedded video by clicking on it, YouTube may store cookies on your device through the enhanced privacy mode, which do not contain personally identifiable data—unless you are currently logged into a Google service. These cookies can be blocked through appropriate browser settings and extensions.
By activating the video, you also consent to the transfer of personal data (e.g., your IP address and usage information) to YouTube, which may be processed on servers in the USA. The USA is considered a non-secure third country under data protection law.
The legal basis for the embedding is your explicit consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) of the German TTDSG, insofar as cookies or similar technologies are used by YouTube (e.g., device fingerprinting). You may withdraw your consent at any time with future effect via the settings provided here.
We use the map service OpenStreetMap (OSM) on our website, which is provided by the OpenStreetMap Foundation (OSMF), St John’s Innovation Centre, Cowley Road, Cambridge, CB4 0WS, United Kingdom, for the display of interactive maps. The OSMF is based in the United Kingdom. According to the adequacy decision of the EU Commission, the United Kingdom is considered a secure third country within the meaning of Article 45 of the GDPR.
To best protect your data, we use a two-click solution: OSM map content is only loaded after you have expressly given your consent. Only once you have provided this consent is a connection established with the OSMF servers, and personal data may then be transmitted. Until that time, only a placeholder is displayed, which informs you about data protection aspects and gives you the opportunity to consent.
After consent has been given, the OSMF may process your IP address, information about your browser type and operating system, the subpage accessed with embedded maps, location data (if you have enabled location sharing), cookies, and similar technologies for user recognition. This data processing is carried out under the sole data protection responsibility of the OSMF.
The embedding of OSM maps is based on your explicit consent in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR. You may revoke your consent at any time with future effect via the settings provided here.
