Our history

A company with a strong history

From the first cable clamp to a comprehensive construction service provider: PohlCon stands for progress, quality and family ties. Our roots go back to 1951, when engineer Hermann Pohl laid the foundation for our company with an improved cable clamp. Today, we combine the strengths of three traditional brands – PUK, JORDAHL and H-BAU Technik – under one roof.

Our path has been characterised by innovation, strategic partnerships and a continuous striving for excellence. The Pohl family, now in its fourth generation, remains firmly anchored in the company today.

Our milestones:

1951: Foundation of Hermann Pohl OHG

Hermann Pohl develops an improved cable clamp, laying the foundation for a company dedicated to innovation.

1969: Merger with Anton Klein OHG → Creation of PUK

Two established manufacturers of cable clamps join forces. The new company name PUK is made up of "Pohl and Klein".

1977: JORDAHL becomes part of the group of companies

JORDAHL, a specialist in reinforcement and fastening technology, joins the family of companies.

2001: H-BAU Technik joins the group

The construction supplier for concrete and precast construction companies adds innovative solutions for the construction industry to the portfolio

2022: Merger to form PohlCon GmbH

PohlCon Vertriebs GmbH, the PUK Group, JORDAHL GmbH and H-BAU Technik GmbH merge to form a joint company headquartered in Berlin. PUK, JORDAHL and H-BAU Technik remain established brands.

Our future: proven values, new perspectives

Today, we stand for quality, technical excellence and customised solutions. Our focus remains on developing innovative and sustainable building products - with the experience of our past and a view to the future.
