The internal or external KUNEX® clamp joint tape is a component of the KUNEX® clamp joint system that also includes primer, steel profiles, anchors and a crepe rubber strip. The system is used to form watertight expansion joints when connecting new buildings to existing ones. The joint tape is pressed against the existing structure by means of a clamping profile on the one side and integrated into the newly concreted structural elements on the other. KUNEX® clamp joint tapes are made of thermoplastic polymer (PVC-P). The hollow expansion part body absorbs movements across all axes.

Technical details
- Made from PVC-P according to DIN 18541-2 (with abP (German building code test certificate) P-5316/053/14 MPA-BS)
- Water tightness: tested for pressurised water up to a maximum water pressure of 0.5 bar
- System components: primer, joint tape, steel profile, attachment anchor and crepe rubber strip
- Fasten the joint tape to the existing structure using a clamping profile
- U-shaped or O-shaped connections can also be created using factory-made welded structures
