A medical care centre has been built in north-west Cologne, offering laboratory services for hospitals, institutions and registered doctors.
Laboratory analyses, among other things, are carried out here in compliance with strict hygiene requirements. The infrastructure, which is designed specifically for this purpose, ensures that everything runs smoothly.
PohlCon supplied the project with products from the cable support systems and underfloor systems ranges. LGG cable ladders and 1,600 m of perforated RG cable trays with the associated support structure were installed. With a load capacity of up to 3 kN, it consists of KDU bracket holders and KW and KWMS bracket supports. Supplemented by moulded parts, the system enables flexible and secure cable routing on the ceiling.
Cable routing close to the floor is carried out using our UEBS underfloor duct system, which is flush with the screed. In combination with mounting components and accessories, it is suitable for dry and wet floors. 700 m of the duct system was installed, almost 655 m of which with anti-slip embossing on the covers – a special design.
For PohlCon, this was another project in the field of health and research in which we were involved. We are delighted to have been able to support the operator of the centre, Labor Dr. Quade & Kollegen GmbH, as a project partner.
