A normed supporting construction is defined by the strict parameters set out in DIN 4102-12. Cable manufacturers hold the relevant certificates of suitability. The advantage of this is that you are free to choose your own cables and cable manufacturers. However, standard-compliant support structures are more labour-intensive and costly to install than system-specific support systems.
