The Maggi House, built in 1911, is located in the western part of Berlin’s city centre. Once the headquarters of Maggi GmbH, the building comprises a front block and side wings with a total of four courtyards. The artistically designed and richly decorated front facade combines modern department store architecture from the Wilhelminian era with the aesthetics of opulent industrial buildings. The listed building is now used by various businesses and companies.
One of these companies is ‘gruppe F | Freiraum für alle GmbH’, a planning office specialising in landscape architecture, landscape planning and public engagement. When fitting out its office space, the planning office opted for PohlCon SystemPLUS. This architecturally appealing room system enables orderly cable routing and the precise supply of light and power to workstations.
Black powder-coated PSP-RG 60 cable trays, including various fittings, were installed. They were secured directly to the original ceiling – a Prussian barrel vault – using cable suspensions. In addition, DIA, LATTEA and ELARA luminaires were supplied and installed. Using the PSP-CLIP100 60 universal clip, the client’s own luminaires could be attached to the cable trays flexibly and quickly without the need for an additional busbar.
PohlCon’s modular, tool-free room system demonstrates how technical building equipment can be stylishly integrated into the room concept. Available in various designs, it offers architects and planners a wide range of design options to enhance spaces.
