Form-stabilising counter troughs and double troughs should always be used to prevent cable deformations due to excessive point loads on the cables. Long trays are suitable for particularly pressure-sensitive cables or fragile plastic pipes as they effectively reduce the surface pressure. Waveguide/high-frequency troughs are used in combination with cable clamps to lay waveguide high-frequency cables. Signal reflections and modulations are minimised, cable damage is prevented.
