PohlCon at the BAU 2025 trade fair – a review

Last week, the eyes of the construction industry were on the Bavarian capital. The renowned world's leading trade fair for architecture, materials and systems took place in Munich from January 13 to 17 - an important fixture in the 2025 trade fair calendar for PohlCon.

Partner from the beginning to the future

Once again, we presented our company, our exhibits and our vision of a modern, future-oriented construction industry at BAU. With products from the precast elements, façade and balcony sectors as well as the formwork, sealing and sound insulation product categories, our focus this year was on the shell construction segment.

A particular highlight of our stand was the new tunnel module. Designed as a cross-section through a tunnel tube, it allowed visitors to explore the installation situations of our shell construction and finishing solutions in a tunnel structure up close. In general, clarity was a central design factor of the exhibit modules: The PohlCon products could be viewed, touched and tried out - a trade fair experience on many sensory levels that was very well received by the visitors.

PohlCon's Managing Director Oliver D. Gessert also shared this enthusiasm: "A stand that was inviting from all sides with an outstanding implementation of our claim partner from start to finish."

Growth through change

The success of the trade fair is also reflected in the final exhibitor and visitor figures: 2,230 exhibitors from 58 countries presented their products and services to over 180,000 visitors at the fully booked Messe München exhibition center.

For the first time in its 60-year history, the proportion of international companies was more than half - a development that was also clearly visible at our PohlCon stand. The increased number of discussions with potential business partners from abroad was a perfect fit with the aim of strengthening our international business.

The fact that PohlCon's clear presence at BAU received such a positive response makes us very proud and sends a strong signal for confident development in the market, especially in the shell construction segment.
