In Recke, North Rhine-Westphalia, PohlCon Solar has implemented another successful project together with its local partner, Stark GmbH: the mounting system for a 6,900 sqm ground-mounted photovoltaic system. In addition to professional installation, PohlCon Solar also took care of the planning, design and structural engineering of the entire mounting system.
The construction work took place between mid-July and mid-September 2025. First, around 5,000 support piles were driven into the ground, followed by the installation of the substructure for around 8,000 solar modules and 24 inverters. A total of around 50 tonnes of steel was used: including KHC profiles in lengths between 500 and 3,900 mm, CP profiles up to 11,950 mm in length, 2,400 metres of mesh panels and numerous fasteners and small parts.
With a nominal output of approx. 3.56 MW, the photovoltaic system will supply the adjacent brickworks with approx. 3.2 million kWh of green energy per year. This is an important contribution to the sustainable energy supply of the region.
A particular challenge was the limited space available on the site, which is directly adjacent to the brickworks. Thanks to intelligent planning, the available space was used optimally. The east-west orientation of the mounting systems and a combination of large and smaller table constructions made it possible to achieve uniform energy production throughout the day and to maximise the area.

With projects such as the Recke solar park, PohlCon Solar underlines its expertise in the development and implementation of tailor-made photovoltaic solutions that are both technically impressive and economically and ecologically sustainable.
