Echoing footsteps in the stairwell, disruptive walking noises or vibrations in adjacent rooms – sound insulation and living comfort are crucial factors, particularly in apartment blocks, office buildings and public facilities. With the SINTON® impact sound insulation elements, PohlCon offers a high-performance solution for the acoustic decoupling of staircases, landings and walkways. At the same time, we are expanding our portfolio with the new SINTON® D product, which offers additional safety against horizontal loads.
Effective impact sound insulation for modern staircases
The SINTON® systems enable effective decoupling of staircases from adjacent building elements. This significantly reduces the transmission of impact sound, and noise from the stairwell does not reach living or working areas unimpeded. The result: noticeably more peace and quiet and a higher quality of life.
The impact sound insulation elements are suitable for both in-situ concrete stairs and precast constructions and can be flexibly integrated into concrete or masonry walls. Depending on the version, variants with type testing, building authority approval and fire safety certificates are available. The systems thus meet high standards of both sound insulation and safety.
New SINTON® D product expands the range
As part of the further development of the tried-and-tested SINTON® Z and ZB impact sound insulation elements for prefabricated staircases, sound insulation has also been optimised: the revised systems meet the stricter requirements of DIN 4109-5, thereby contributing to even greater peace and quiet and living comfort.
Since the beginning of March, the associated new product SINTON® D has been added to the portfolio. This is an additional pin for securing the position at the base of the staircase. It is used in particular where exceptional horizontal forces may occur – for example, in earthquake-prone areas. SINTON® D prevents the staircase from shifting without compromising the proven sound insulation properties of the existing systems. All components have been optimally coordinated and tested together. We thus offer our customers a comprehensive solution that combines sound insulation, safety and ease of planning.
