The autumn trade fair season of 2025 was a complete success for PohlCon – with outstanding appearances at three important trade fairs in Spain, Germany and the United Arab Emirates. Our foreign subsidiaries and teams were not only able to demonstrate their expertise, but also establish valuable contacts and strengthen their market position in various regions.
PohlCon Ibérica at Matelec in Madrid
From 18 to 20 November 2025, our foreign subsidiary PohlCon Ibérica presented itself at Matelec 2025 in Madrid, a major electrical trade fair that attracted almost 57,000 trade visitors and 550 exhibiting companies. The 80 m² exhibition stand was ideally positioned and attracted visitors with PohlCon's core competencies: functional integrity, solutions for industry and manufacturing, and underfloor systems.
The focus was on strengthening market presence following the change of name from PUK Portacables to PohlCon Ibérica and the associated adjustment of the corporate design. Feedback from visitors was consistently positive, and it became clear that the uniform brand strategy within the group of companies was well received. The discussions on site provided valuable impetus for future market orientation. Matelec, a national reference trade fair, takes place every two years – and in 2025 it once again confirmed its importance.
Focus on tunnel construction at STUVA in Hamburg
Just a few days later, from 25 to 26 November 2025, PohlCon took part in STUVA in Hamburg – a renowned trade fair for tunnel construction and infrastructure that has been considered a hotspot for the industry for decades. At the 25 m² stand, trade visitors were able to find out all about PohlCon's tunnel construction products. A particular highlight was the tunnel module, which showed a cut-away tunnel segment and thus impressively illustrated the applications of the products in their installation situation. From fiberglass reinforcement and punching shear reinforcement to straight and curved anchor channels and cable support systems – interest was enormous. It became clear that the name PohlCon is already firmly established in the tunnel construction industry.
The finale: BIG 5 Global in Dubai
Our autumn trade fair season ended with a bang at BIG 5 Global in Dubai. From 24 to 27 November, PohlCon was part of the German Pavilion at the largest trade fair for the construction industry in the Middle East and Africa. After more than ten years, we returned to BIG 5 Global and presented ourselves to an international audience with a wide range of products from the construction and cable support sectors. Cable support systems and JAI elevator insulation, which was of particular interest for use in the region's skyscrapers, were in high demand.
For the first time, PohlCon also presented its British Standard underfloor range, which was specially developed for the international market. The great interest in the products and discussions with regional manufacturers and potential customers confirm the importance of the region. Overall, the trade fair was a complete success, and we look forward to being there again in 2026.
