Bentonite waterstop tape with rainproof coating
SWELLFLEX® BT swelling tape consists of sodium bentonite and butyl rubber and has an additional rain protection coating applied in the factory. This coating effectively prevents premature swelling due to rain for 2 to 3 days. The rain protection coating only dissolves in the alkaline environment of the fresh concrete. The swelling tape is used to seal construction joints that are permanently or temporarily exposed to groundwater, water running through slopes and/or surface water. The clay-based expanding material creates a self-injecting effect when it comes into contact with water, making it ideal for in-situ concrete construction.
