The original architecture of the winning design by Prague-based Aulík Fišer Architects will attract all visitors to the Czech capital on their way from the airport. The Bořislavka Centrum is an exclusive office and shopping complex.
The underground foundations of the five-story complex consist of a white tub with a waterproof concrete structure. "The white tub has an excellent price-performance ratio, and unlike other types of waterproofing possibly occurring problems are quickly detected solved," confirms Ing. Michal Voplakal, managing director of the project. The KUNEX® and PENTAFLEX® waterproofing membranes used can withstand water column pressures of up to 20 m and have been tested to 50 m.
The facade is designed with the hot-rolled JTA W 40+ anchor channel, which, together with the high-strength bolts, is also designed for dynamic loads. A total of around 1,700 of these were installed in Bořislavka.
