JORDAHL double shear dowel

The dowels are guided transversely in rectangular sleeves in the double shear connector JDSDQ. This allows transverse movements and twisting – in addition to movements in the longitudinal direction of the dowel. Double shear connectors JDSDQ are often used in the area of corners and recesses on concrete slabs. The double shear connector JDSDQ has general building authority approval and is available in various sizes. For example, it absorbs rated resistances in relation to the steel load-bearing capacity of up to 896.8 kN for joint widths ≤ 20 mm. It is suitable for joint widths up to 60 mm and resistant to high corrosion loads, e.g. from chlorides or seawater.
