Reinforced concrete flat roofs deform due to stress from temperature and loads. Flat roofs made of reinforced concrete are therefore partially attached to floating supports on the lower walls. However, facing masonry that runs up to the upper edge of the roof must not be anchored in the area of the parapet because the facing masonry is not able to absorb the deformations of the parapet without being damaged. For this reason, JORDAHL parapet brick anchors secure the facing masonry freely up to the top edge of the parapet by anchoring it in the ring beam of the lower wall.
