The solar park Beekweg in the Dutch municipality Reuver went into operation in September 2023. The total of 8,400 solar panels generate an electrical output of up to 5.0 megawatts at peak times. With the forecast annual production of 2.3 million KWh, more than 1,700 households can be supplied with electricity.
The local population even benefits directly from the system: panels can be financed through "sponsorships". The amount of electricity they generate is subsequently offset against the consumer's individual electricity bill. The operator of the solar park ensures biodiversity by planting flowers and grasses on the site.
PohlCon supported the project in many ways: the solar panels rest on the two-support system from PohlCon Solar, which enables various layout solutions. Around 110 tonnes of steel, consisting of different types of profile rails, were used for the support system. In addition to manufacturing the system, PohlCon was also responsible for planning and installing it.
