Especially in residential buildings, hospitals or hotels, high sound insulation requirements must be followed. This is an important topic when planning new elevators in new buildings and when replacing or modernising elevator systems in existing buildings. Our manufacturing company JORDAHL has taken up the challenge of developing sound insulation solutions for lifts with high load capacity or backpack suspension. Based on the TÜV-certified elevator insulation JAI, two new types have been launched that are constructively designed for these types of elevators.
Technical lecture about new JAI types
At the First Swiss Lift Day on 9 November in Wallisellen, our expert Prof. Dr.-Ing. Mazen Ayoubi will give a technical lecture. The focus of the lecture will be on sound insulation in lift systems, taking into account the new JAI types. The normative background of the planning process will also be illuminated, as high forces act on lift insulation. Another point is the concept of insulation: In this context, Ayoubi explains how the elevator insulation JAI from JORDAHL prevents the transmission of noise and vibrations into adjacent rooms. Test results and areas of application for the product solution round off the topic.

The conference is organised by the Swiss Association for Technical Inspections (SVTI). The main activities of the SVTI include the monitoring of technical systems, equipment as well as installations in power plants. Market surveillance of elevators and pressure equipment also falls within the SVTI's remit. The federal government and the cantons give corresponding orders on a mandate basis.
The First Swiss Lift Day is dedicated to the current trends in urban and building development in Switzerland and the associated requirements for the planning of elevator systems. Other interesting lectures await you and, of course, our experts will be on hand to advise you on your upcoming projects. Register right here.
