With a total floor area of more than 210,000 square metres, the quarter offers sufficient space for various uses, above all for office space (54%) and residential space (40%). Up to 4,000 employees will be able to work there and around 1,000 people will be able to live in the approx. 600 flats. There are also hotel and catering premises as well as retail space - primarily located in the podium - and publicly accessible recreational areas.
PohlCon's comprehensive product range and expertise in offering customised special solutions came into their own in this construction project.
PENTAFLEX ABS formwork elements were used as a special solution to support the concrete slabs during the construction of the underground part of the building. The element is a combination of coated joint sheets and profiled formwork. It has horizontal interlocking and a connection lug to the diaphragm wall.
The JDA punching shear reinforcement was also used as a special solution: the anchors have a diameter of 25 mm and a height of 5,105 mm! JDA is used to transfer high support forces in reinforced concrete ceilings and foundations with minimal formwork and reinforcement work. We supplied our ETA-approved FERBOX reverse bending connectors for the force-fit connection and reinforcement of reinforced concrete parts of different concreting sections. Further sealing solutions from the PENTAFLEX product range rounded off the scope of supply.
FOUR is the next major project in which we were able to demonstrate our capabilities as a manufacturer. We are proudly looking forward to its completion: The client expects the building complex to open this year.
