A recent analysis by the Federal Statistical Office shows that more than three million children and young people were at risk of poverty last year. In Berlin, the poverty rate among children is particularly high. Here, one in four children is affected. And the trend is rising.
This makes it all the more important for aid organizations to work tirelessly to change the situation of socially disadvantaged children and young people. Their work is an example of how even seemingly simple measures can bring about major improvements in their lives.
We can create rays of hope
Whether it's free lunches, homework supervision and tutoring, excursions or simply a quiet chat - even the most basic care and attention is often lacking. Changing this requires a great deal of commitment and passion, but also financial support. Both from private individuals and corporate partners.
PohlCon has therefore decided to make a donation of 5000 euros to the children's foundation „Die Arche“ in Berlin. Our company would like to make a small contribution so that the children and young people can continue to find a place in the Arche where they can forget their worries and spend carefree hours.
Die „Arche“
The children's project „Arche“ was founded in 1995 in Berlin-Hellersdorf on the initiative of Pastor Bernd Siggelkow. There are now 30 locations throughout Germany where Die Arche reaches over 6,000 children and young people with its many free activities.
