For a long time now, concrete has no longer been regarded purely as a building material, but has become part of modern exterior and interior building design. Exposed concrete is neither plastered nor faced - it should stand out and convey a feeling for the character of the building at first glance.
The individual appearance of the concrete surfaces, e.g. their shape, evenness or color tone, is decisively determined by the formwork used. The formwork is the hollow mold into which the fresh concrete is poured to produce the concrete components - a process that was already used 2,000 years ago when the Pantheon was built with opus caementitium, the "self-healing" Roman concrete.
You have the idea, we have the right formwork tube
The choice of formwork techniques is as varied as the requirements. PohlCon offers a system of column formwork - the RAPIDOBAT® formwork tubes - to meet architectural design requirements and guarantee problem-free construction. The formwork consists of multi-layered, extremely stable FSC-certified paper and cardboard sheets that retain their shape even in driving rain.
They enable the simple and economical production of high-quality reinforced concrete columns in a wide variety of shapes and qualities. The areas of application range from simple columns for basements to sophisticated exposed concrete columns with the highest formlining and exposed concrete class. Various versions of the RAPIDOBAT® are available depending on the requirements.
First-class in every aspect
The wide range includes formwork tubes for smooth to non-porous concrete surfaces, for reinforced concrete columns in square, hexagonal or octagonal designs and creative special shapes, e.g. for conically shaped columns, ellipses or L-shaped columns.
The RAPIDOBAT® Cretcon HD is the absolute pioneer. With the help of its activatable hydrogel formliner, a unique concrete surface is created without disturbing pores, blowholes and marbling. The formwork tubes easily achieve formlining joint class AF 4 and the highest exposed concrete class SB 4 - the optimum construction element for flawless exposed concrete architecture.
