Initiated by PohlCon´s Essen branch, the second edition of this years Fire Protection Days took place in Ratingen. The participants had the opportunity to listen to contributions from three experts about fire protection and functional integrity.
Olaf Sieper, Sales Representative at Datwyler IT Infra, acted as a presenter and guided the speakers through the event. Peter Pardeyke, engineer at Datwyler, Daniel Müller, expert for electrical engineering and building law at TÜV SÜD, and Erik Vogler, PohlCon's Head of Technology & Product Development in the area of expansion / cable routing, were able to shed light on the announced topics in detail. In a relaxed atmosphere, they exchanged facts and experiences and answered all questions from the audience. The day's agenda included the following topics:
1. planning under consideration of existing structural boundary conditions
- Basic verifications
- Dealing with deviations
- Fastenings
2. challenges during execution
- External installation
- Fastening distances
- Other boundary conditions
3. challenges after execution
- Declaration of conformity
- Labeling
- Dealing with refusal of acceptance
Unlike in previous years, the event was not organized as a classic series of lectures, but as an open discussion round between the speakers themselves and the audience. A new approach, that received consistently positive feedback from all participants.
PohlCon and Datwyler are delighted with the success of the second Fire Protection Day and look forward to the upcoming events in Berlin (September, 24th) and Munich (November, 7th).
