The PENTAFLEX KB joint sheet is suitable for horizontal and vertical construction joints with pressurized and non-pressurized water. The elastic special coating applied on both sides prevents water from infiltrating the joint system in conjunction with fresh concrete. The integrated standard line allows constant installation control and thus simplifies the construction process. An embedment depth of 30 mm is sufficient to withstand a water pressure of 5.0* bar (*ETA- and abP-approved up to 2.0 bar). PENTAFLEX KB is radon-proof, resistant to a wide range of media and requires no special tools or adhesives. It can be used in precast and in-situ concrete construction.
One system, many applications
The PENTAFLEX ABS formwork element is used for construction joints in reinforced concrete slabs exposed to water, especially when there are high demands on the shear strength of the joint. The formwork is formed using rigid, dimensionally stable expanded metal elements, which are available as a rough or serrated joint. The integrated PENTAFLEX KB joint sheet ensures that the joint is sealed.
Predetermined cracks in the wall and floor can be created thanks to the PENTAFLEX OBS crack control element. Galvanized sheet steel wings weaken the concrete cross-section at the intended predetermined breaking point and the integrated PENTAFLEX KB metal waterstop seals the resulting crack.
The PENTAFLEX module is used wherever concrete components need to be joined together in a force-fit and watertight manner. It consists of two FERBOX reverse bend connections and a PENTAFLEX KB metal waterstop and is primarily used for parts of buildings below ground level, e.g. underground garages or basements.
The PENTAFLEX STK sound insulating cage is used for the acoustic separation of walls. The element is made of galvanized structural steel and a hydrophobic foam panel and can be used in precast and in-situ concrete construction. An integrated bracket holds the PENTAFLEX acoustic joint tape in position, which securely seals the building joint.
