A balcony should increase living comfort, but not lead to energy loss and therefore unnecessary costs. The thermal insulation elements from PohlCon are designed in such a way that they only allow a minimum of heat to escape, thus ensuring an optimum energy balance. To date, we have been able to offer our customers the product for use in concrete-to-concrete connections with an 80 and 120 mm thick insulating body and for concrete-to-steel/wood connections with an insulating body thickness of 80 mm. We are now adding a new variant to our range of load-bearing thermal insulation elements: the ISOPRO® for concrete/steel/wood connections with a 120 mm thick insulating body.

The new series ensures a force-fit connection with steel or timber constructions across insulation joints. The SM, SQ, HM and HQ versions of the thermal insulation element are suitable for a wide range of applications. In addition to classic balcony connections, ISOPRO® SM has been specially developed for the connection of cantilevered structures and ISOPRO® SQ for supported structures.
An important aspect for planners and construction managers: ISOPRO® 80/120 steel/timber has received general building authority approval abZ/aBG Z-15.7-313 from the German Institute for Building Technology (DiBt). The elements are also available in various load-bearing capacity levels and element heights and are installed as part of the reinforcement and concreting work in the building shell. The uncomplicated installation with millimeter-precise alignment by means of stepless height adjustment takes place later.
