Revit is a widely used application for BIM (Building Information Modeling): Planners, architects and structural engineers can precisely model their project from design to execution using 3D graphics. Our JORDAHL® EXPERT software, in turn, allows the accurate design of individual fastening situations and supports safe verification for anchoring in concrete.Thanks to the new plug-in, the advantages of both tools can be combined in the best possible way.
Facilitates planning, minimizes effort
The conventional procedure was to design the desired anchor channels in JORDAHL® EXPERT and to manually enter all items such as concrete quality or edge distances. Afterwards, the determined data was entered into the planning.
Now the BIM software is the starting point for the design: In Revit, specifically our certified hot-rolled and cold-formed anchor channels JTA W and JTA K can be drawn in the 3D model and adapted to the individual construction situation. The only prerequisite is the use of our BIM data - these are automatically supplied in an integrated library when the Revit plug-in is installed.
Thanks to the new plug-in in Revit, the data generated there can then be automatically exported to the JORDAHL® EXPERT design software. There, the imported positions can be precisely calculated and modified. After calculation, the information is transferred from JORDAHL® EXPERT back to the BIM program. Existing models can be overwritten in a controlled manner. The result is an error-free 3D planning model.

The advantages are obvious: Thanks to the link between planning and structural analysis, planning processes are simplified and optimized. With just a few clicks, data can be transferred from the BIM program to the design tool and back again. Changes are automatically applied, and transfer errors are minimized.
