BIM (Building Information Modelling) is an integral part of modern construction planning. From design to execution, architects and planners can digitally calculate and visualise their building projects in corresponding software solutions - using all relevant building data.
TGA in the focus of digital construction planning
To ensure that technical building equipment (TGA) is also incorporated into the BIM planning process to a greater extent than before, the VDMA (German Engineering Federation) launched the AG BIM GA/ET on 8th of September. PohlCon GmbH is one of the 23 founding members, including 18 companies and 5 universities and institutes from the fields of building automation and electrical engineering.
Goals and contents
The working group has set itself the goal of better coordinating work and activities in the field of BIM and ensuring the financing of upcoming projects. In addition to advising and informing members on all matters relating to BIM, the working group will also contribute to the creation of technical standards on the subject of BIM. Membership in the working group is open to all interested companies, universities and institutes.
The VDMA e.V. represents around 3,500 German and European mechanical and plant engineering companies. The industry stands for innovation, export orientation and medium-sized companies. The companies employ around four million people in Europe, more than one million of them in Germany alone.
