Be it the detached house in an area with a high groundwater table, the sewage treatment plant or the swimming pool: Here it is particularly important to seal the building structures against water so that water can neither penetrate the building structure from the outside nor escape from the inside to the outside. In particular, joint sheets and tapes are used to seal structures – water-impermeable concrete alone is not sufficient for the construction of a White Tank. Whether in-situ concrete or prefabricated construction, construction joint or predetermined crack joint, pressing or non-pressing water, horizontal or vertical – our PENTAFLEX KB® joint sheets are suitable for numerous applications in floors, walls and ceilings.
Optimally qualified
The galvanised steel sheet has a special coating which, in connection with the fresh concrete, reliably prevents water from infiltrating the joint system. An embedment depth in the concrete of 30 mm is sufficient to withstand a water pressure of 5.0 bar. A standard line visualises the embedment depth so that it can be checked during concreting without time-consuming re-measurement. The sheets are fixed to the reinforcement with the help of special brackets to prevent them from floating up. The sheets can be extended by overlapping at the joint and pressing them firmly together: no welding, no gluing. The joint sheets can also be easily bent and shortened without special tools, e.g. for corners or offsets.
PENTAFLEX® and its system components are legitimised with the General supervisory test certificate (AbP) and the European Technical Assessment (ETA) and are therefore CE-marked. In addition, the joint sheet is impermeable to the gas radon, which is a health hazard especially in mining regions.
