On July 7th, 2022, we had the pleasure to welcome the district mayor of Neukölln, Martin Hikel, at our PohlCon location in Berlin. He was pleased about the opportunity to get an insight into the everyday life of our company.
During his visit to PohlCon, he was guided through the production halls in Nobelstraße by our Managing Director Daniela Veit and Erik Vogler, Head of Technology & Product Development Expansion TGA.
A valuable exchange
Mr. Hikel was able to take a look at our products from the areas of cable management and underfloor systems as well as wireless charging. The tour was followed by a lively round of talks on the topic of Neukölln as a business location today and in the future.
The main topics of discussion were logistics, the shortage of skilled workers and junior staff, as well as possible solutions to a bottleneck in the gas supply in Germany. A At the end of the visit, not only did the district mayor express his interest in the enterprises of the municipality, but also for us the dialogue with the district mayor was a very positive event.
Since 2018, Martin Hikel has headed the Neukölln district office as mayor, where he is responsible for the business development division and the staff unit for dialog and the future, among other things. For this reason, he is currently visiting companies from a wide range of industries.
